Another method is by trying to restore a backed up System State (in Windows 2000/XP/2003) or a ERD (in NT 4.0) in which you do remember the password. Use words and phrases that are easy for you to remember and then use. As long as you have your Windows XP CD, you can get back into your system using a simple but effective method made possible by a little known access hole in Windows XP. This site provides a tool to recover lost Windows XP passwords. Use a memorable sentence, such as "My son Aiden is three years old." Not necessary because you can pay two hundred dollars.
